Zac King

Whether you hand me a book on facial expressions in hunter-gatherer communities or an auto-biography from a chef, I want to assimilate as many variations of the human experience as possible. I have been generally obsessed with our weird species ever since it occurred to me that we are not perfect. As a child I was under the impression that we were all destined for peace and ease, never realizing how unsettling our condition truly was. I have found a great deal of fulfillment and beauty in my life since making an exit from university, and it all started with contemplating the hard stuff. I have since lost myself in almost every nutritional trend imaginable, studied a wide array of kinesiology modalities, and spent an entire year dissecting the book Unsettling of America by Wendell Berry. Writing and storytelling have always been something I enjoyed, and I felt inclined to write about humans and health. What I love more than anything is assuming the roles of multiple gears. Being a full-time mobility and posture trainer, consulting for advertising, writing about local food ventures, distributing magazines, and cooking alongside our team, seems pretty perfect for my aggressive and restless temperament.
