Girl with backyard chicken from Grogg’s Green Barn

You don’t have to live on a farm to have your own supply of farm-fresh eggs.

People all over urban and suburban Green Country are raising their own chickens. Looks like fun to us!

If you’re interested in being a backyard chicken farmer, Grogg’s Green Barn has the chickens, information and classes to get you started.

On April 3 from 9am until 5pm, Grogg’s Green Barn will have 40 backyard chickens for sale. First come, first served. No pre-orders, reservations or selections held. Grogg’s received the chicks on February 2 and have been lovingly raising them for you.

For more information on the chicks and Grogg’s class offerings, visit GroggsGreenBarn.com. Refer to our News & Notables section for even more details. We extend a big thank-you to the lovely Barry, Birks, Bonds, and Manring families and their adorable backyard chickens.
