  • 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
  • 2 tablespoons ground chile pepper—we love Ancho or New Mexico
  • 2 tablespoons ground cumin
  • 2 tablespoons dried Mexican oregano
  • 2 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon instant espresso or finely ground coffee
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • ½ teaspoon ground cayenne

Preparation

Stir a few tablespoons of this zesty blend into a pan of browned ground beef when making a pot of chile, or smear it over chicken or steak before hitting the grill.
